Detailed Program

DAY 1 : FES – IFRANE – AZROU – ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA DESERT (465 km)

Your desert adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your accommodation in Fès. We’ll head south, passing through the charming town of Imouzzer before arriving in Ifrane, often called the "Switzerland of Morocco" for its cool climate and alpine architecture. Continue exploring through the Azrou cedar forest, where you can interact with friendly Barbary macaques.
The journey continues through the Middle Atlas Mountains with a traditional Moroccan lunch in Midelt. Next, we’ll cross the scenic Ziz Valley, known for its palm tree oases, before reaching the enchanting Merzouga Desert. Swap your vehicle for camels and embark on a thrilling trek through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets, admire the magical transformation of the desert landscape from the top of a high dune. End your day with a traditional Berber camp experience, where you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and live Berber music around a campfire under the stars.

DAY 2 : MERZOUGA DESERT – RISSANI – TODRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY (302 km)

Rise early to catch the unforgettable sunrise over the Sahara Desert. After breakfast, return by camel to Merzouga, where your driver will be waiting. The journey continues to Rissani, the historic capital of Tafilalet, known for its lively market, especially on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
We’ll then visit the fossil workshops in Erfoud, a town famous for its rich deposits of fossilized marble. Afterward, we’ll head to the Todra Gorges, where towering cliffs create a climber's paradise. After a peaceful lunch in the gorges, we’ll continue through the Dades Valley, famous for its dramatic rock formations, including the famous Monkey Fingers. The day ends at a charming 4* or 5* hotel in the valley, where you can relax and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner.

DAY 3 : DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – AÏT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH (330 km)

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll head to Kalaa Magouna to explore the Rose Valley, home to the Rose Festival each May. We’ll continue through the lush palm groves of Skoura, reaching Ouarzazate, known as the "Gateway to the Desert." Here, we’ll visit the world-famous film studios, where movies like Gladiator and The Mummy were filmed.
Next, we’ll explore the iconic Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has served as the backdrop for many films and TV series, including Game of Thrones. After touring this ancient fortified village, we’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains via the beautiful Tizi-n-Tichka pass. We’ll stop along the way for a lunch break and enjoy breathtaking views.
